Hi. I'm Ron Prather - aka "Richard Childress". Thanks for the website, it looks great. It 's great to see all of the photos of so many people I met and recognize from the shoot. I had a ball doing "3". It was fast. The entire movie was shot in 21 days. It was evident the Director Russell Mulcahy and the Director of Photography James Chressanthis had a vision, beyond the script, of how "3" was to look and feel. They worked fast, staging the scenes, and grabbing at inspiration. As an actor you had to pay attention, see what they were trying to do, hit your mark and bring it. There was not time for exploring options. You had to step in front of the camera with a strong idea of your character and the scene from the jump. You rarely got a second chance to make an adjustment. Everyone was great. And working with Barry Pepper was a rewarding and fun experience. He was a real down-to-earth guy. I found him to be creative, focused, fun and generous to all of us who were in scenes with him. Ron Prather |
